Happy Easter everyone!  We are all full with ham and funeral potatoes.  Good old American Food.  I had 3 other couples to dinner this afternoon and it tasted really good.  Always eat too much.  Seems different when you don't have your kids and grandkids around but we survive.  This week has been a slow week.  Not a lot going on but after all it seems good to kind of slow down.  No rats, no parties and no wrecks.  We still haven't taken our car to be fixed.  Tomorrow we will drive it down to Koneohe (1 hour away) to be fixed.  In the meantime we are driving the new Altima.

Denis and Grant work with Eikika at PCC.  We call him our brown Brady.  Denis just loves him.  He is an apprentice electrician.  His wife Naloni is a 3rd grade school teacher and so cute.  They wanted to take Eikika to dinner so we went Saturday night.  They told us all about the islands.  Naloni is from the big island.

Dad and Eikika were digging roots up one day.  They had to dig them up by hand and dad got tired of that.  So Denis went over and got this backhoe to dig with.  No permission, just plain old irritation and old age. It worked a lot faster and was less hard work.  Sometimes he makes Eikika wonder!

This week one of our favorite little mothers and her student son left to go back to Mongolia.  Both her and him just graduated and now they are going back to their country to get a job.  Tamera sewed with me and told us a lot about her country.  She has 2 little children, has gone full time to school and worked 19 hours a week.  Also very strong in the church.  She also just had a baby last October.

On Wednesday morning there was a meeting for all workers at PCC and missionaries.  It was with Pres. Grace, and the director and co-director of the board for the Polynesian Center.  They are called by the First Presidency of the church.  They talked on the value and the importance of the school and the center for the students from foreign countries.  Many would never have the chance to get an education if it were not for the church offering them the chance of a scholarship and the ability to work.  The goal is to get them to go back to their own countries and help educate and further the people from their homelands.

Bishop McBride asked us and the other couple missionaries who are mentors in the ward to dinner at his house.  His wife is Korean so we had Korean food.  The other couple is leaving in 2 weeks to go home.  We then had made arrangements to take a little Japanese girl to Walmart.  She was so excited to go.  She hardly ever makes it down there.  We shopped for almost 2 hours.  She didn't buy much but looked at everything.  Denis finally went to the car to sit.  We got home at 11 P.M.

Saturday we stayed home.  I made little candy filled cellophane carrots for the kids in Sunday School.  There were 23 kids today.  They act like they never have candy or treats.  Our class is growing because I think the word is getting around about the treats!  Then dinner with the missionaries after church.  We have had a good week.  Cameron and  Tawna are coming in 2 weeks.  We are looking forward to that.

Maysen Marie turned 12 this week and grandma and grandpa couldn't be there.  Seems like just yesterday when she would throw her little fits and let grandma make her better.  Now she is a young lady playing competitive softball and loving life.  I think all of Bridger's friends are checking her out.  She's a cutie!
