Six more Sundays and we will be home.  I am getting so excited to go home as well as thinking about all of the new friends I have made that I will probably never see again.  Kind of sad but I can not think about that.  We enjoyed having the Naumann family come and visit us while they were here on vacation.  All of our kids have grown up and have families of their own and my memories are when they were little and playing in the back yard.  JaNae and I would visit every day.

Monday was work as usual and we took tickets at night.  We worked Island Buffet which is the cheapest of the meals and luaus.  We had about 1000 people go through that venue in 1 1/2 hours.  They couldn't seat all of them.  They had set seating outside under the big patios.  The tourists still had to wait in line.  Some get a little cranky and will try anything to get in without taking their turn.

Home evening that night was a family called the Tongans.  They have 8 children and the oldest was 16 years old.  There were 7 girls and 1 little boy.  The girls and the mother sing and harmonize together.  They were called to sing for the 4th of July at Pearl Harbor, called to perform on the T.V. here in Oahu, and sang in the football game for the 49'ers last year.  All of a sudden they are getting quite popular.  You can go on to YouTube and put in the Tongan Sisters and hear them sing.  They each bore their testimonies and then sang a song that was special to them.  Really quite the talent.  The mother and father both work and they also have a baby that is only a few months old.  The dad is off island quite a bit but they sure do have testimonies.  I just got tired when I thought of all that mother has to do.

Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday were all the same.  We worked, sweat and ate.  The breezes keep blowing which saves us.  Friday in costumes we had a party for all of the kids that have worked in there for the last 5 weeks.  Summer vacation was on and the kids who did not go home worked 40 hours each week for some extra money.  

We will miss them.  We loved to visit with them and learn about their countries and families.  Friday we cooked spaghetti, breadsticks and salad.  Had cake for dessert.  Kathy decided we would not eat with utensils so they were not given any.  We gave them gloves and they were to use their fingers.  I really think that was easier than wrapping noodles around a fork.  Less spillage.  Boy can those kids put down the food!  Nothing left.

Saturday we had to go to the airport and pick up Tomomi.  She had gone home to Japan for the break.  She was so happy to be back.  We took her to Walmart to get her some supplies and then we went to eat at Panda Express.  She has gotten so she likes Denis as much as me.  She actually visits with us.  She has improved so much.

Today was Sunday and the students have all started to come back.  We still were low on numbers but next week I think we will have more students.  We went over to Nielsens for cake and ice-cream tonight.  They are on the 2nd floor with a big deck that looks out over at the temple.  The lights just glow at night.  It is such a beautiful sight.  

 The temple has been closed for 2 weeks but is open this Tuesday.  Have a good week.  I can't believe that the kids' summer is half over.  Be good and take care.
